The stretchy softshell fabric keeps water out, but as the seams have not been taped, the jacket is not completely waterproof. The inside of the jacket is soft microfleece, which provides just the right amount of extra warmth. There are elastics on the cuffs and the hem has been shaped at the back to offer better protection.

Care instructions
Wash separately inside out. Do not use fabric softener.
Washing instructions
Do not tumble dry. Normal washing. Initial water temperature should not exceed 40°. "Do not dry clean; Garment may not be commercially drycleaned." Regular ironing, steam or dry, may be performed at low setting (110°) only. Do not bleach.
